Hi, and welcome to my website. My name is C.G. Bateman. I am a Ph.D. candidate at the University of British Columbia in the Faculty of Law. My research interests include legal history, legal philosophy, law and religion, and state sovereignty.
I have a Law degree (UBC), a Master’s in History (Reg.), and a Master’s in Law (UBC).
I also work as an editor and proofreader in Vancouver, British Columbia, and my clients range from students to authors to publishers. I work as a contract editor for the Continuing Legal Education Society of BC, and my recent projects were two textbooks: Family Law Deskbook and Practice Before the Registrar. I also recently edited the JP Boyd on Family Law textbook for the BC Courthouse Library Society. In addition, I work for an Occupational Therapy Group in Vancouver, editing their Cost of Future Care reports.
I am a member of Editors Canada. Even though most of my editing work is related to the field of law, I do welcome editing projects in other areas.
Please contact me by phone or text at 604-725-7133, or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, to discuss your needs.
